The best way to sell your art is through engaging and consistent communication with your audience.
There are four stages that a potential buyer goes through before they’re ready to buy:
The first stage is Awareness – this is where your potential buyer becomes aware of you either by meeting you in person or seeing your art somewhere such as a gallery or online.
The second stage is Interest – You’ll know your potential buyer is interested if they start following you on social media and/or sign up for your newsletter.
The third stage is Evaluation – once your potential buyer is interested enough to watch you, they are also in the process of evaluating you and your art. Here is where they decide if they like you enough to consider making a purchase.
The fourth stage is Purchase – however, this doesn’t mean your deal is done! It only means that your potential buyer will approach you about buying your art. You still have to close the deal.
These four stages are what marketers call “Marketing Funnel” or “Sales Funnel.”
